A total of 200 pounds of specially-grown heirloom tomatoes and several varieties of peppers will be donated to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma where Iron Gate will be on hand at the Food Bank to immediately receive this donation.

Southwood Nursery and the OSU Extension office have been working since the spring to cultivate 12 heirloom tomato varieties through a joint observational trial program. The 12 variety of heirloom tomatoes include the following: Arkansas Traveler, Azoychka, Black From Tulsa, Brandywine, Bradywine Off the Vine, Cherokee Purple, Mexico, Pineapple, Sioux, Valencia, Virginia Sweets, White Queen.
